ABBANK’s profit attained VND 172 billion after the first 6 months
After QII 2009, ABBANK achieved stable growth rate in every aspects (in terms of total assets, fund mobilization, outstanding loans, etc.). ABBANK’s pre-tax profit attained VND 172 billion, increasing by 106% of target planned for the first 2 quarters.
As of June 2009, ABBANK’s outstanding loans was VND 8,618 billion, increasing by 132% against 31 December 2008; funds mobilized from institutions and individuals was VND 11,658 billion, increased by 160% compared to 31 December 2008. In addition, ABBANK continues to expand its branch/sub-branch network with 77 branches/sub-branches covering 29 cities and provinces nationwide.
After the first 6 months, ABBANk achieved several awards and titles including title of “National prestigious brand name in 2009” granted by Vietnam Intellectual Property Association, under the sponsorship of National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam and Nhan hieu Viet Net. This is the second consecutive time ABBANK had the honour to receive such title. “National prestigious brand name” aims to honour corporates/enterprises, institutions providing products and services drawing attention of customers as well as affirming their prestige in Vietnam market.
In addition, after 2 consecutive years, ABBANK received the “Exellent International Payment in 2008” award by Wachovia bank of America, according to its straight-through processing rate of over 90%. Since May 2007, ABBANK was granted SWIFT code and its straight-through processing rate is maintained at 90% and above.
Achieving positive business performance in QII/2009 and above-mentioned awards, ABBANK is “speeding up” and hopeful that it will be able to spectacularly reach “Finish” after 6 months-end so as to fulfil its 2009 business plan.
